Pristine 2020 Porsche 935 With Zero Miles up for Auction

Originally unveiling it's updated 935 in 2018, Porsche’s reinterpretation of the infamous 935/78 “Moby Dick” racer from the 1970s is a menacing track-only beast. Based around the 991.2-generation 911 GT2 RS Clubsport, there are only 77 examples of the new 935. Now one of the highly-exclusive rides wrapped in sought-after "Martini" livery — the second ever built — is hitting the auction block courtesy of RM Sotheby’s. And the best part? Not a single driven mile is on the vehicle.

For the vehicle's design, Porsche utilized carbon-fiber bodywork to alter the GT2 to look like the 935. The result is a wider and longer body, featuring the German marque’s unmistakable front end that runs to the highlights located on the lower front. A giant rear wing mimics the old car’s style, with aero wheels adding to the car’s racing aesthetic. Performance-wise, expect nothing else but the best. Weighing at just 3,042 pounds, the updated 935 is pushed by a dual-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six that outputs 700 horsepower.

On the inside, Porsche’s motorsport pedigree dominates the racing design. Laminated wood gearshift levers are an homage to the 917, 909 Bergspyder, and Carerra GT, with the carbon fiber steering wheel and cluster display sourced from the 2019 911 GT3 R. Finishing off the interior is a single racing seat with a six-point safety harness.

Take a detailed look at the 2020 Porsche 935 “Martini” above. While the new 935 originally sold for $780,000 USD, expect this rarity to draw in $1.4 million to $1.6 million USD via RM Sotheby's online auction.
