BlocBoy JB has just dropped a catchy new single titled "Swervin." Shot entirely at a dimly lit warehouse, the song is accompanied by rich visuals that show the rapper and his crew of friends break into a lively impromptu square dance. This video follows the previous “Silly Watch Freestyle” music video that only released a little less than two weeks ago.
Measuring at approximately two minutes and a half, "Swervin" features an infectious mid-tempo groove laced with melancholic guitar riffs, crisp drums, and muted basslines. The beat was produced by Ace Charisma and sets the perfect stage for BlocBoy JB's distinctive vocal cadence, shining a light on clever verses and his unique southern inflection. Notable quotes include "Weight up no re-rock, used to wear Fila / But I earned my stripes like Adidas" and "Bullets hit him now he need a test tube / A scar like a permanent tattoo / Keep the stick on me, permanent bamboo." Near the end of the video, a slight behind-the-scenes clip is shown, offering a short, candid glimpse of the rapper hanging out with his friends.
