Kanye West Opens His Wyoming Sunday Service to the Public

After purchasing a $14 million USD ranch in Cody, Wyoming, Kanye West invited its residents to his famed Sunday Service, holding the weekly gathering at the local Powwow Garden outside the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. The free event was attended by well over the venue's 700-person capacity and featured a chorale group of 80 members, but the rapper/producer (dressed in a bright yellow hoodie) himself didn't take the stage for this week's installment.

West and the choir performed a total of 14 songs, opening with his own "Ultralight Beam" along with hymn versions of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Comes As You Are." Sunday Service merch was also available for purchase.

This week's Sunday Service marks the final gathering before the release of 'Ye's forthcoming album, Jesus Is King. The 12-track LP officially drops September 27.

In case you missed it, Forbes named West as the highest-paid hip-hop act of 2019.
