The two minimalistic, tonal colorways are a stark contrast to previous releases such as the inaugural "Bright Cyan" iteration and the recent Footpatrol collaboration, which celebrated Notting Hill Carnival. Instead of bold colors, the Three Stripes have opted for a premium suede and mesh upper doused in "Grey Two," which appears in different shades depending on the materials used, or a murdered-out "Core Black" which blends all the uppers' materials into one.
Both pairs feature 3M and leather detailing throughout, as well as a neon green Torsion lace lock and a "Chalk White" midsole. The sole unit is Torsion and BOOST-equipped, making for a stable yet energy-returning component in a sneaker that blends '80s track-and-field looks with some of today's most-loved running technology.
adidas Originals will release the "Grey Two" and "Core Black" pairs on September 13 online, at its stores and at select stockists for £109.95 GBP (approx. $135 USD).
