Tomorrowland to host first-ever Tomorrowland Winter in French Alps

Tomorrowland, the world’s hottest electronic music festival, will freeze over in 2019.

From March 9th-16th, up to 30,000 people from around the globe will flood the Tomorrowland Winter festival grounds: Alpe d’Huez, one of Europe’s top-tier ski resorts–tucked away in the French Alps.

The “Hymn of the Frozen Lotus”-themed festival will be held on d’Huez’s Grand Domain Ski area.     Winter attendees will be able to choose between a “fantastic” four-day or “mysterious” seven-day pass, according to a statement from festival organizers.  In addition to festival access, tickets will include ski & lift privileges, lodging, and access to Tomorrowland Winter’s March 12 Gathering.

Although the winter lineup has yet to be announced, Tomorrowland has long been acclaimed for its unparalleled stage productions and top-tier curations of global electronic acts.

The “fairytale” location, which according to Alpe d’Huez receives about 300 days of sun per year, promises attendees superior sightseeing and an ultimately unfamiliar outlook on winter festivals. Adding to the scenic appeal, the festival’s quite literally high-in-the-sky main stage will be set at the base of the ski trails (located approximately 200 meters above sea level), overlooking a swath of scenic France.

Seven-day packages go on sale on September 8, while four-day packages will go on sale on September 15.
