English grime artist Stormzy and footwear insiders Yeezy Mafia are currently in the midst of a social media battle. The beef started on Sunday night when Stormzy took to his 2017 MTV EMA performance rocking a pair of the upcoming adidas Originals YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 "Beluga 2.0." The high-profile sneaker leaker quickly called him out, questioning the legitimacy of his YEEZY BOOSTs in a series of tweets and photos, which have since been deleted. Prominent exposer of YEEZY fakes, Yeezy Busta was also called upon for the dispute.
Stormzy soon clapped back, condemning those who dared to question the authenticity of his sneakers, providing photos of the sneakerbox as proof. However, this didn't stop Mafia from fighting back, then questioning the legitimacy based on the dimensions of the sticker’s graphics. For what it's worth, Stormzy is an adidas endorser, and in a turn of events, adidas VP of entertainment Jon Wexler chimed in to authenticate the pair. Check out the feud below.
