adidas Resurrects David Beckham’s Iconic “Champagne” Predators

Today marks David Beckham's 41st birthday and, to celebrate, adidas has unveiled plans to bring back one of the most iconic football boots of all-time: Beckham's "Champagne" Predator Mania. Originally worn by Beckham in 2002 in his final season at Old Trafford before moving on to the Bernabéu, the champagne-colored kicks became an instant classic upon their debut thanks to their cream-colored upper, stitched-in Predator tech, distinctive asymmetrical lacing, and bold red tongue. Here, the 2017 re-release is faithful to the original, but now employs a modern outsole with Sprintframe construction for lightweight support and balance. Best of all, though? adi has crafted a matching take on the PureControl UltraBOOST to coincide with the release, not to mention corresponding iterations of the ACE 17+ PureControl and Copa for the pitch.

The full "Champagne" pack is set to hit select adidas spots and this Wednesday, May 3, in limited quantities.
